Setup grill for indirect grilling and light. Allow about 30 minutes to preheat to about 400°F.
While the grill is preheating, roll out the pizza dough and then slice into 1”x 4” strips.
Cut each sausage directly in half - wrapping each link with a strip of pizza dough.
Arrange the wrapped sausage, upright and touching each other in a small cast iron pan.
Mix the melted butter with garlic and sage. Brush the tops of the sausage and exposed pizza dough.
Place the skillet on the grill and bake until the pizza dough is cooked through and the sausages are browned; about 25 minutes.
Serve with your favorite marinara sauce or mustard for dipping.
