Pineapple Sausage and Hot Link Chili

Directions

  1. Heat the butter or oil over medium high heat in a medium saucepan.

  2. Add the onions, peppers, garlic, and carrots and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened.

  3. Add the sausages and sauté for about 3 minutes.

  4. Add the broth, crushed tomatoes, jalapeño, honey, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper.

  5. Mix together. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium low.

  6. Add the cilantro. Allow to simmer for 25-30 minutes.

  7. Serve topped with avocado, fresh tomatoes, red onion, lime, and more cilantro.

  8. 1 cup broth
  9. 1 15-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  10. 2 tbsps jalapeño chopped
  11. 1-2 tsp honey
  12. 1 tbsp chili powder
  13. 1 tsp cumin
  14. Salt and pepper to taste
  15. 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  16. Avocado
  17. Fresh tomatoes
  18. Red onions, sliced
  19. Lime, sliced
